The Mourning Mallard

During my childhood, a popular hit was often played on the radio. The lyrics were about a female mallard whose husband was shot dead by a hunter. She hid her little ones in the reed and never found them. This sad story caused a melancholy in my childish heart that have remained a part of me. And it made me draw and paint at an early age as a way of describing feelings. I think this melancholy song about the mourning mallard was the very prerequisite for my painting and creativity that I since then have had so much joy of.
